Does anyone know if this is a good price?

Also I have seen almost no reviews of this A50 model or anyone owning it.

This is a relatively new product in Canada. I don't even remember hearing anything about this notebook. It kinda looks like the Tecra A series notebook renamed. The basic specs are pretty good, but the Intel shared graphics card is a bit of a let down. This will be good for net surfing, office apps, dvd playing and light gaming. Anything that will require heavy graphics processing will perform poorly. $1800CDN is in my opinion a bit on the high side for this type of unit. I'd spend a bit more and get a better spec'd notebook.

if its got a dvd writer the price is about right. i paid $2000 for my one which has the same spec as yours but mine has got a dvd writer.

i'm trying to find out if it possible to upgrade the v/card if possible, so if u have any info on that i'd be more than happy.

The video card is not upgradable on this unit. I checked out the specs and it's an Intel Extreme Graphics 2 GPU. These are integrated into the systemboards chipsets.
