    Hi,

    I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite U405-S2830;

    When I put the battery to its place and press the power button without waiting, the laptop works fine.

    But if battery stands there for a long time (from night to morning for example), I have to unplug and shake the battery, then plug it back and hit the power button without waiting.

    I tried this many times. This is the only way the switch-on the laptop when energy cable is not plugged-in.

    Power button works fine when the laptop is without battery and the energy cable is plugged-in.

    Can you help me on finding a solution?

    Toshiba Satellite U405-S2830 has sometimes such problems. You should check on your energy cable and be sure that it is correct. Then one more solution is to buy new battery (because i think that your one is broken) or to return to repair service according your guarantee document (if u have this one). They must give you intermediate maintenance. Good luck!
