My Win7 Toshiba C650 wont boot. It hangs at the starting windows screen for a while and when it does get past that it goes to a black screen. You can see and move the cursor. Ive tried getting into safe mode and command prompt and it loads windows files but then goes to a black screen where you can also see and move the cursor. I entered startup repair and it just seems to go in a loop forever.

I tried using seatools to scan the HDD however after detected the drive it just reboots. I don't know how to get the toshiba diagnostic tool to be bootable ( Software Utilities)

Any ideas? My HDD died a few months ago where it was clicking. Toshiba repaired it. There isnt any ticking now.

I dont have the recovery DVDs.

    Thanks.

Get a copy of windows 7 and use it to repair the windows installation. Should be simple.
