    Hi All,

Just want to know if anyone have already upgraded their CPU with this model? What processors are compatible(i3 above)? Would really appreciate your inputs. Thanks in advance!

From this website, it shows you have an Intel Celeron:
    Toshiba Canada - Support Center
From Intel, they state the above Celeron has the below socket:
    ARK | Intel® Celeron® Processor B830 (2M Cache, 1.80 GHz)
From this link, it looks like you can possibly upgrade to many of the Sandy Bridge CPUs

    Good luck

Thanks for the speedy reply. I read somewhere that its a bit tricky to upgrade this specific laptop. Someone from another forum(I think) upgraded his processor with the correct socket. Laptop works, but shutdowns after 30 mins. This happens with the latest bios etc. There's a couple of guys facing this problem. So I'm a bit apprehensive on just buying a processor with the same socket and just to find out it wont work. Please bear with me since I'm a bit of a newbie with sandy and ivy bridges.

The above Satellite owner probably bought a CPU [highend quad-core] that wasn't designed for the cooling system of your particular model. Each laptop model's cooling system can only dissipate so much heat at a time.
I believe your model has a dual-core, so I would probably stick with a dual-core design. The above Celeron has a thermal heat output of 35W [Max TDP]; so stick with other CPUs that have the same Max TDP.

To compare to the above example, a quad-core i7-2630QM has a Max-TDP of 45W [dual-core is 35W]. This creates a heat flow that the cooling system cannot handle [that is if they did upgrade to a quad-core].

    Good luck
