This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Toshiba Config Free Help

    was working on a Toshiba laptop today and could not get the wireless working, its Win Vista 32 bit, PC connects fine via ethernet

    when I go to connect to a network it shows the ssid + config free instead of just the ssid, when I try to connect its doesn't, diagnose it says check security settings when I go into manage wireless networks there are no connections listed, so I uninstalled config free, reboot its still showing ssid + config free, also when the config free software was still installed I could not find anywhere to change the WEP key, when config free was still installed i used the radar and dragged the line to my ssid showing correctly but when it tried to connect it said correct settings checked settings nothing listed, I even tried to manually enter the Network but still won't connect

    any suggestions ?
