    Hello,

    I've just ordered my dream platform for modeling and simulation via the toshibadirect.com custom configuration option.

    ??How do I verify and confirm that my Tecra A6 actually includes the 7200rpm HDD, the 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx1), NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M w/128MB DDR SDRAM and the 2.0 GHz core duo??

    I want to confirm that my computer actually has the hardware that I ordered either through using a Windows or Toshiba included software capability. ?Is there an easy way to see a list of the system configuration.

    Thanks for you input!! :)

    Windows System Information should be able to confirm most of the configurations. For the graphics card look under the Display properties.

    You can also look at the basic specifications by using dxdiag(Directx Diagnostic Tool).

    There is no easy way to confirm the speed of the hard drive, but you can still look it up in Device manager for the model number and search for it on the web. The HDD manufacturers website should list the specifications. Since it is a 7200rpm HDD, it should either be a Hitachi or Seagate.

    To check the RAM speed, use CPU-Z thats the best way to correctly identify RAM speed.

    To access System Information menu...
    Click Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Information.

    To access Display Properties menu...
    Right Click on your desktop-->Properties-->Settings-->Advanced Tab-->You should see a tab with you gaphics card name.

    To use dxdiag...
    Click Start, and then click Run.
    In the Open box, type "dxdiag", and then click OK.
