I was wondering if there was any application to slow down the Toshiba's intel cpu to save battery life, or lower the fsb.
    Thanks

Isn't there an option in the BIOS to enable a "speed-step" type function? My Toshiba Sat Pro 4320 has an Dynamically Switchable option in the BIOS to slow itself down depending if it's on Battery or AC. I also found this tools that can possibly slow down the CPU, but may not work in XP.

Update: I just checked the Software Forum and found a utility that may do what you're looking for. It was posted by Abaxter and it's scalled SpeedSwitch XP. Here's the link to the post.
