Greetings - I had an M105 last year, sold it and used the money to get an M115-S3104. The M115 has been a great little system for all of $798. I have decided to sell it and get an M115 with Vista - and lo and behold it looks like the M115's have been discontinued. Does anyone have any information on this? I hope they are just temporarily out of stock or something. I really like the M115 - but I really like Vista too and was hoping they would be available with Vista.

It does seem to have disappeared. I'll see if I can find an answer to that from somebody at Toshiba.

Toshiba just confirmed to me that the M115 has reached its end of life, so there won't be an update available with Vista unfortunately. You could always do the upgrade yourself, but if there's driver issues then you'll sort of be out of luck.

It's also quite possible they'll release a similar model in the near future that does have Vista, but they won't disclose such information until the time of release so who knows.

Toshiba Support site shows several downloads for Vista support on the M115.
You can easily upgrade to Vista with supported Vista drivers for the M115.

just go to Toshibadirect.com's Tech Support > Downloads sections.

I too have an M115, and I am about to upgrade to the new BIOS and replace the cpu, memory and hard drive to make this little notebook last me another year.

Thank-you Andrew and Alcyon for your input. I sold the M115 today - I was going to renege on it but the buyer turned out to be an elderly pastor and his wife. It was a great little system for the money - $798 thru AAFES. I hope and assume Toshiba will bring out a similar 14" "budget" laptop on the Santa Rosa platform. I'm really tempted by that dv6000 reviewed yesterday though - what a great system for that price from Wally-World!!
