    Hello all,

I know that this matter was discussed on this forum several times but I'd still want to hear Your opinion on this notebook.

I'm thinking about getting myself Toshiba m30x with 1.6 Pentium M, 512 MB RAM, and so on.

But I'm a bit worried after finding some quite critical opinions about them recently, so if You could advise me on this.

Another option is Fujitsu Amilo M1420, major diferences are the graphic card (fujitsu has Ati 9600 128 MB, and Toshiba Ati 9700 but only 64MB), and the opitcal drive, (fujitsu writes only DVD+R, and Toshiba has this mutli drive writing almoust every type of DVD).

So I'd like to ask U about the quality of those notebooks, I will have to use if for about 2-3 year before upgrading to newer model so I'd like it to be quite reliable.

    Thank You for any suggestions

Don't get the M30X. I have the M35X (basically the difference is the M35X is the retail version) and the built quality is so poor. I am disgusted with it. Also, I had a screen issue with mine that hapened the first time that I turned the laptop on. Get the Fujistu; they offer better quality notebooks.

    Well I think I'm going to decide for Fujitsu-Siemens, or HP-Compaq (n70xx).

Somehow Toshiba lost a lot in my opinion after browsing through usenet, and formums :( and it's a pity cause I really thought they did excelent laptops :(
