    Hi,

I am in the market for a new laptop and I think I have narrowed it down to the Toshiba M45 (M40 in Canada). Does anyone know if this laptop is being replaced anytime soon or if Toshiba is coming out with a product in this category?

    Thanks.

The difference between the M40 and M45 is quite large... mainly the graphics card. About your concerns about being replaced, there will always be something better coming out in a month or two, or three. If you like what you see in Toshiba, get it.

I currently am using a laptop with a widescreen and I don't really like it (laptop is too wide to carry and it causes problems when I plug it into a projector).

Do you know if all laptops now will be coming with a widescreen display standard?

Yeah tehre are lots of standard screen laptops, someone asked the same thing in the General forum, you can try to search for it, many people came up with decent systems with 15". Even 15.4 is too wide for you? I can understand 17" being huge.
