I bought this laptop about 3 months ago from BestBuy. It was reasonably priced and offered the i5 chip along with a blu-ray player. Ever since I got it, it has had issues with playing blu-ray discs. Everything else works fine. The blu-ray disc when inserted can be opened and the files can also be viewed, however the default Toshiba player and VLC, can't seem to play any of my blu ray discs. I have searched around the web to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm running wprime (1024) .. and temperatures for all 4 cores and upto 148F at the moment. Is this normal behavior ? I've only had this laptop for about 3 months. I haven't cleaned it thoroughly but, the temperatures seem a little off. Room temperature here is probably around 85F (Southern Cali, around the valley ). Any ideas ? From what I can tell, the fan is running at a 100%. Could it be wrong temperatures reading through Speedfan ? I don't notice any slowdowns.. etc.

EDIT : Nevermind. The mobile processors seem to have a huge margin for CPU temperatures (max 105C).

My Toshiba uses Corel Win DVD to play the Blu rays and Toshiba for playing DVDs.
