Can anyone enlighten me as to what the two green lights indicate that are located just under the F numbers of my keyboard, two thirds of the way along? These lit up when I spilt coffee all over my laptop! Its now dead incidentally and Im wondering whether its going to be repairable or not!

What did you do when you split the coffee on it? You should at a minimum turn it off and try the best you can clean it off.

Well, being stupid, I didnt realise it was all over the pc....was so busy cleaning it up off my beige sofa and carpet and when I eventually saw it WAS all over the laptop, I kept turning it off and on like an idiot in case it would work! So I suspect that Ive totally shorted it out because it wont do anything now other than show a blue on light .....! I just recall that it kept showing these two small green lights two thirds the way along the keyboard on thew right, just below the F numbers...and wondered if they were actually a diagnostic thingy that told me exactly what damage the coffee had done!

I'd turn it off and try to clean it the best you can. Let it sit for a while to dry out and then turn it on to see if it boots. Good Luck.

    Coffee, sticky!
I have an M70-30 and those green lights indicate the Function key is pressed, or in transition and when various functions are active.

I have had good results by washing the solid state boards with bottled water and drying them with a hair dryer. I have breathed life into several kool aid spilt laptops. Trouble is getting the boards out, it’s messy.
