    Hello Everyone,

I just got my new M70-DL3 (Pentium M. 173, 512MB RAM, 80GB HD, Intel 915GM integrated) and I'm having a few problems with my display...

First, after using it for anytime around 15mins-1hour, the display would suddenly change to a mono colour (mostly green and magenta) and If i move the mouse or hit the keyboard or try pushing the power button, nothing happens. So what I would have to do is hold the power button for a good 10 secs until it shuts off... then reboot it.. and everything is fine...

Second, when the screen turns off after 5 minutes (set in the powersaver profiles) sometimes the screen will not turn on again if i move the touchpad or they keyboard.

So fellow toshiba/laptop owners, what is the problem with the screen/laptop? I currently have my screen brightness on 7/8... is that too much? could it be the reason why its causing this problem? I can't think of anything else..

Should I return this unit and get a new one? is it a defect?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    -Billy

Sounds like the screen is red ghosting pretty badly - it take the notebook in for an exchange if possible.

Definately a ghosting problem take it back as AMDvsIntel said if you can, that should be covered under the warranty. The M35 series had problems with ghosting and so did the M40 series, but I thought they had it solved on the newer series. :(
