Does anyone know of a way to disable the power LED? I love everything about this laptop except the Power LED which I find distracting. It's way too bright in my opinion.

If anyone can offer a solution, I'd really appreciate it.

Edit: I have the NB305-N310 model which is the black one. After viewing some youtube videos, I've observed that the power LED on the N310 seems to be much brighter than the ones on the other models.

Might sound odd but I had the same issue from my laptop, when it goes into sleep mode the power LED literally lights up the room. Hard to sleep with that thing. So i sometimes would take a little electric tape and block the light. Might not be the best but hey it works :p. But I'm not sure if there's a option to shut off the LED. I could be wrong. Have you tried searching for the option in Bios? Or a FN button?

I've searched the user guide, but wasn't able to find a mention of ways to configure or shut off the power LED. Unfortunately, I can't check the bios menu since my brother borrowed it for the night. It doesn't seem likely to me that they would include an option in the bios menu do this.

When you tried the electric tape solution, did it interfere with opening or closing the lid. I may have to resort to that.

Well the power LED on my Studio is on the side, so it didn't have a problem closing and opening. I see that the LED on your gateway is directly below your screen which is quite bright. I think if you just use a very small piece of tape over the LED there shouldn't be an issue.
