    Toshiba N505 ram upgrade to 4gb?

    I only saw some threadsd that were talking about 2gb ram upgrades.. but what about 4? is this possible for this mini laptop?

    The NB505 netbook (I presume this is the one you mean) uses the Intel N455 CPU and the NM10 chipset. It appears from here that the CPU can't handle more than 2GB RAM. This will be by design, in order to limit the encroachment of netbooks into the normal notebook sector.

    Yup! it's the one. thanks for the reply! i got a pqi ddr2 2gb for this netbook. and it read more than 2gb. (like 2000-ish with a couple of numbers more) why's that? i only bought 2gb of ram. :p

    Some programs might report a slightly larger number than 2GB because 2GB is actually 2048MB.
