Hi, I have just bought the NB100-12, and though I fully realise it is not a gaming machine, I wondered if anyone has installed any yet. I tried a few old ones which I thought were not very graphic intensive, but have hit a few problems.
Scrolling in a game is one problem, I installed sins of a solar empire as I read this may work, but scrolling to set up the game failed, as the boxes all disspeared below the shallow screen, and no way could I get down there.
Rise of legends was another, but that shows an initial display but then says the graphics failed to initialise.
Am I expecting too much? or does anyone know of any games to install that are playable other than card games etc.
Anyone know how to scroll on a Toshiba NB100? its OK with IE and other installed progs, but I installed Photofun, which was supplied with my Panasonic counter and that dissapeared below the screen and was not accessable.
Help or advice appreciated.

you wont be getting anything lower than *768 (cannot get *600) on sins of a solar empire, see here;

heres a list of all the games and if you click on the game, you will see if there is a resolution hack/ ini file for it to play on a netbook resolution, i'm presuming the toshiba has a 1024*600?
if you dont see the game you are looking for, select the letter, as that list at the page i gave you is just the 'most searched for' only. -
Yes you are right about the resolution, the problem seems to be the vertical resolution will not go above 600, the other res being 800 by 600. I will search on your link and go through the list of games carefully, but a quick glance did not show any with a vertical res of 600. I am sure as the netbooks become more popular clever people will find a way around the limitations. It certainly works well on video playback, and I would have thought some of the older games should run once the resolution problem is fixed, or even the ability to scroll in games.
Thanks for the input.
