    Hello all

I've just bought a Toshiba P505-S8980 which has an spdif optical output shared with the headphone jack. I've tried connecting this to my receiver with an optical cable. I can get stereo sound, but not 5.1. If I go to: Control panel > Sound > Right click 'Spdif interface' and choose properties > Advanced tab, I have a drop down list of sound formats to choose from. They are all 2 channel stereo with different bitrates and frequencies (on my old x205 I would have the option of 'Dolby digital live (5.1 surround sound)', this option is not available on the P505.

The drivers I have installed are:
Conexant Pebble High Definition Smart Audio 4.98.6.63 and
Intel (R) High Definition Audio HDMI 6.10.1.2077

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions on how I can get 5.1 surround sound?
    Thanks
