I've had my R700 for about 3 months and I haven't really used it extensively on the road or put it through any kinda abuse. But the other day when i was cleaning it up i noticed some serious scratches by the bottom of the LCD panel. I am not sure what has caused them. Wondering if this is a common problem I tend to take out the battery when i don't need it. I wonder if the absence of the battery has been the culprit?

Friction when the lid is opened and closed (eg it is rubbing against the battery or is there some cloth or something on top of the keyboard?)
