Sounds like a motherboard problem (since no lights are on at all, but humor me and try these suggestions just to be sure), most likely you'll need a replacement. First, try moving the power adapter "plug" around while trying to start to see if it's just a loose connection. If unsuccessful, try powering on with just the battery or AC, as well as both (unless you have it like that already). If it powers on with the battery but not with the AC, you can bet that it's a power supply problem. If that isn't it, you could also try removing any peripherals and cleaning out the vents (compressed air, unlikely the cause but it can't hurt). Lastly, if you've made it here I'm out of ideas, you'll need to get into contact with Toshiba (hope you have warranty), or if you don't feel like it (or the laptop is old), you could just get a new one.

Well, I figured it would be fun to take the whole thing apart, it is now, it's a newer laptop, I think anyway lol it's a Toshiba Tecra A1, but if it's damaged i'll buy a broken one and use parts from this to fix, but I tryed all the stuff you mentioned, nothing, but I know I was the cause lol I kinda had no hardrive holder and figured i'd shove the hardrive in and hope for the best, and it didn't work after that lol

Just make sure you get one that doesn't have a dead MB or it will all be for not.
