Hmm... you could do a lot better for $3500. Like get a very good gaming desktop and a light laptop.

For $3377 at PCTorque you can get a 4Gb ram, E8400 processor, 200Gb 7k200 Hdd and 8800M-GTX in SLI. Unless that new 1Gb Nvidia Card is better than the 2 8800's I'd say that's probably a better deal.

If you really want something in that power range, then you should check out the stuff in the sager and clevo forum.

It could actually be as SLI sucks and that 1 gb of video ram means better 1900*1000 gaming

I wonder if the delay is due to a delay of the 9800M GTX... perhaps we shouldn't expect to see that card until September at the earliest now... :(

The delay is due to the 9800GTX quality issue... I will post more as I will be attending E3 in LA next week and will talk to the Toshiba Guys...

I want to get a new laptop and I'm doubting between the Toshiba F50/G50/X305 and the Asus G50V/G71V.

I guess whichever is released first is the one I'll get because I want to have it for my holidays which begin in a month.

Prices start at around $3500. Its way too expensive for a gaming notebook, even with the 9800GTX. Just check out this link: (nice pictures though :) )

    http://www.legitreviews.com/article/737/1/

You can get a notebook with the same specifications from Sager/Clevo for a better price and with better quality!

So this x305 is supposed to have a mobile 9800GTX? (The site doesn't say what GPU it has.)

    What IS a mobile 9800GTX? The 8800GTX is basically an 8800GT, but I hadn't heard anything about a 9800GTX.

And any chance this thing is going to ship with an LED backlight instead of CCFL? (And Blu Ray?)
