I've been trying to research this but I've come up with blanks.

    Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q896

GPU, yes. CPU, maybe (have to find the PLL and check the datasheet).

Doesn't overclocking void the Warranty ?

Honestly I didn't know that. Have not bought mine yet so can't say it does. Would be a shame but I could work around that. I just know if I want to reach the FPS that rival the 5870 by ATI, I would need to overclock.

I don't know if it does void the warranty. I always just assumed.

The i7 has the "auto" overclock feature in it, so if you were the overclock the CPU I can see some warranty issues. I think the GPU should be ok, since they usually make a feature that allows you to overclock (I wouldn't go too far, don;t want to shorten the life of your GPU).

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

...I don't get this, the i7 and i5 both have Turbo Boost...why do you need to overclock them?

Good luck ;) Toshiba is not good at this.. You probly as the x300/305 owners have a locked BIOS which means you can not edit the voltage of your GPU, however, you can still overclock but very limited. I've have been not able to find the Datasheet for my x300 for almost 3 years now, so good luck ;)
