I am considering buying this laptop. Can the owners share their 2 cents with me?

I would check out newegg.com . You can buy from them and possibly pay no tax; saving you at least $100. People have also reviewed it there.
Newegg.com - TOSHIBA Qosmio X775-Q7270 Notebook Intel Core i5 2410M(2.30GHz) 17.3" 6GB Memory DDR3 1333 640GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M -
I personally think that model has great specs, but an extremely underpowered cpu. I would spend the extra $250 for the Q7272. That's just my 2 cents.
-
Yeah, I have the 7272, the i7's kick - its worth the extra dough.
You can always look into getting it on amazon.com too.
Also if you want 0% financing, Newegg, Amazon, and Best buy all have 12-24 months if you apply for their credit cards.
Personally I got mine through amazon and 24 months, with free 2day shipping. Cant beat that. -
Cant afford that extra dough for the 7272. I think I'll survive on the i5. Now just have to make my final decision.
-
Ya, i5 is fine. You could always upgrade to an i7 on your own at a later date.
-
There is a possibility to upgrade your motherboard in laptops?
-
Nope. You only upgrade the CPU, using the same motherboard.
The i5 and i7 Qosmios use the same motherboard chipset, and the same BIOS; so I can't see why its not possible. There's already numerous examples of upgrading an i7 to an unofficially supported higher i7; so I'm thinking a supported i5 to another supported i7 is possible.
