I just purchased a Toshiba Qosmio: X305-Q701 Notebook. It says there's an option of adding a second hard drive on this model, but not entirely sure how to do it. It only comes with a 200 GB HDD and I would prefer to have more drive space. If any one could tell me if this is possible or not, it seems the Toshiba site and the user guide isn't very helpful, that would be great.

    Thanks

there are a guide in this site.

but it's too easy to do anyways. Just unplug the power, take out battery, unscrew the 2 screws for the hd department. Pull the hd out, stick your new hd under the original one. I put some rolled up paper under the new drive and between the old drive to make it more secure. The whole process takes 1 minute.

There is space for a 2nd hard drive under the original one, though you might need some sort of object to put in between the two hard drives. I also wanna add in a 320GB hard drive and wud appreciate it if anyone can post a proper guide on how to do it. Not sure whether it requires a complete reboot of the laptop...

Read the x300/x305 owners lounge. unnecessary threads take up unnecessary space on the NBR servers.

i also suggest a thickness of about 3 to 4 sheets of paper.
