I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista Home Basic. I have a 3-disc set of Recover Discs that was created by the "experts" at the store that I bought the laptop from (I did not realize that I could do it myself until later). I have run the Recovery several times in the last 2 years, and each time I do it, I think I end up less and less free hard disc each time. I also have done it a couple of different ways. Please someone tell me the best way to wipe everything clean and start with as much HD space as possible. Thanks.
I also have a Logitech wireless USB mouse that I started using about 5 years ago on my old laptop when I was in school learning AutoCAD. It now double-clicks every time I left click and I have reset and changed the battery and tried settings. Do I need a new mouse?
Thanks.![]()

Sounds like you have to reformat your hard drive. Don't forget to partition your hard drive first and transfer all your important files to the new partition before reformatting drive C:.
A 5-year old mouse that isn't working properly? You got your money's worth out of that one already, you can go out and buy a new one.
