    Hi,

I purchased a Toshiba SATELLITE R830-182 around 3 months ago, and having issues with it freezing daily.

Everything becomes unresponsive and the fan turns on and becomes loud. I cannot even press CTRL + ALT + DEL.

It mainly happens with Google Chrome, but I've tried re-installing that as well as disabling any add-ons.

I have performed a clean install of Windows as well.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Stephen

My friend had this problem with his QOSMIO, even after he sent it in for repair, it still has the issue.

Test the ram (memtest), turn off the HDD protection, run any toshiba diag software you have installed.
But in the end you might just have to take it back to the store you got it from and try to get your money back.
