G’day am considering buying the Toshiba Satalite A200 which comes with Windows Vista Premium preinstalled.

I want to know if I will be able to:
    1. Dual boot with Windows XP.
    2. In case anything goes wrong and I decided to format the XP and Vista Partitions. Can I reinstall media direct, windows xp then windows vista (oem)
    3. will the FN keys work in both of windows XP and Vista (as per my knowledge there are different BIOS updates for XP and Vista)

Kindly guide me to resources that guides in this process.

    1. Yes
    2. Yes, you can use the recovery disks/partition, but for XP, you need a slipstreamed version b/c it does not have the SATA HDD driver on the XP disk.
    3. Should work in Vista, not sure about Xp.
