    Toshiba Satelite 5105 S607 no power

    Hi, new to this forum.My 5105 S607 turns on, however there is no power going to the hard drive or fan.Screen stays black.Dvd will not open.Battery takes a full charge.The mode window lights up.Any suggestions?

    Have you made any changes recently... attempted an upgrade, flashed your BIOS, etc?

    no.I bought it from a friend who said the screen wasn't working.My guess is that this is a mb problem as no power is going to dvd or hdd or fan.Could it be something else?

    Thanks. Is the m/b specific to toshiba or can I find a generic.
