    My Toshiba Satellite A215's screen brightness is not very bright at all. When I first turn on the computer, the brightness is fine, but within a minute or two, it suddenly dims and I can't get it up to regular brightness. When I restart it, it is bright for maybe a minute again, but then it dims down again. The dimness of the screen is not extreme (maybe halfway level instead of full) but it is definitely noticeable. Has anyone experienced this with their Toshiba and what can I do about it?

    Thanks.

    Hold the Fn key, then F7. That is the shortkey to increase brightness.

    However, I searched the forums and found the solution, so case closed! :)

    I not sure how virtuoso735 fixed it but you can try to edit it from control panel by;
    Start -> Control Panel -> Windows Mobility Center

    Can anyone please tell me how I can PM someone?
    Can't see the option any where, and I'm dying to find out how this problem was resolved.

    Thanks in advance.

    PMs are disabled until a member has 5 posts. However, I think you should try the advice in this thread.

    Try both the advice in post #2 and post #4. #4 fixed the problem for the OP of that thread.
