Ive had a Toshiba Satellite 1200 sitting in my room for years and its not being used because I cant get it to charge up. I know why it wont though. The bit at the back where you plug the end of the charger cable has nothing to plug on to. I think the "pin" has broken off and is somehwere in the laptop.
Is this be something that I could fix myself or not?
Would I have to take the whole laptop apart to solve this problem or not?
(I have tried but I didnt get very far as none of the guides seemed to get me to where I wanted to go.)
How much should I expect to pay to have this fixed if I cant do it myself? (Rough guess.)
Oh yea and is there any other way to charge the laptop? Something like an external battery docking station? I have no idea what im going on about or if I have made that last bit up but I was just wondering..
Thanks in advance boon

It maybe cheaper to just buy the same type of laptop from ebay and swap out the hard drive.
