    Hi
I've just upgraded my laptop from XP home edition to XP Pro and now I am having problems backup up my DVDs. Before I could Back up my DVDs with ease with the XP Home edition but now with XP Pro it doesn't seem to work. It goes through all the writting processes and everything and said that the backup was sucessful but I can't seem to be able to view the backed up DVDs. As a matter of fact I can't write normal data onto a DVD. I can burn data onto mornal CDs but.

I've tried searching for drivers for it but it haven't a sucess. The driver current installed is the default one of XP Pro but it only says that it's a DVD/ROM not a DVD-R/-RW. I am able to view normal DVDs with no problem, it's only this backing up problem.

If anyone out there could help me it would be really great..

I believe this may be a problem with the OS. I read about a problem with XP burning discs. You may want to try doing an Online Update of the OS and see if it fixes the problem. Are you using the OS or a CD/DVD buring software package? If you're using the OS, try using a software package.
