Great laptop and doesn't get as hot as the A100-OFH. However for the price, i'm not sure if it's worth it - unless you're getting a great deal.

Costco has the HP 1.83 duo core with 2gig ram on sale for $150 off...check it out...$1220 shipped (I see you are in Canada). Much better build quality and you get a faster FSB and double ram.

Personally this laptop the build quality is good and the performace is good (though it scored considerably lower in 3dmark 2k5 than what i expected the score was 3350). It is very snappy and fast doing normal stuff and the wifi interface is wounderful, hoowever there is one problem with it that i dont think i could live with, the battery it normally comes with is very short... i could barely get mine to go 2 hours 45 min on basic stuff, light internet surfing, and typing, and no games, not even mp3s. Take a note this was done by putting all power setting to longest life.

Hi, & thanks for your opinion....
Yes, it is pricey, however I hear a few horror stories about HP /build quality, and longevity.. ..

Is there such thing as a perfect laptop , I highly doubt it...

Heh no such thing as the perfect laptop, however there are many that seem that way. Ya -_- hp seems to not be good but i'm giving the another go because some of them really do seem perfect if only it had no quality issues.
