I bought it just recently and I want to know what it can and can't do.

    Toshiba A100-259
    Intel Celeron 380 1.6GHZ
    60GB Hard Drive
    1024MB RAM
    1MB Cache
    ATI Xpress 200M Graphic Card

Well for one thing you won't be able to play alot of todays' latest games. I take it you bought it keeping in mind you won't play games that much? It says 128MB Graphics, but keep in mind it's shared. And Celeron... not a very fast processor, I will never buy one personally.

But other than that, the 1GIG RAM makes up for the graphics and processor, so I would say you have a relatively average good laptop. :)

If you gonna play old-school games you won't have any problems (like Red Alert 2, Starcraft, also Counter Strike etc) If you mainly use the laptop for spreadsheets and word processing, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Toshiba is good manufacturer, I had Toshiba Sattellite M50 before my Asus. Good choice.

If I were you I'd stay away from Celeron. There are good bargain offers with Core Duo and Intel Pentium M processor :)

You won't be able to run much more than word on a Celeron for applications of today and tomorrow :(

The Celeron is fine... It won't run the latest games or anything, but you have a pretty good system.

I have recently bought the toshiba Satellite and have found it to be really good. I have played Civ 4 on it which runs very smoothly and very reasource hungry, especaily with graphics. It also runs the new Microsoft office 2007 beta with out any problems. The fan on my model is not too loud at all, I only notice it when it stops or starts
