    Can anybody please tell me about Toshiba Satellite A100-283, in yahoo answers I got 3 negative responces, is this model sooo bad???

    I think that most people will say that it is a good model. From what I have read, and heard, it seems to have many different options, and can be configured with a wide variety of components. I'm not to sure of build quality, as I have never used one. See if you can go to a store, and see the notebook in person. You should be able to get a better idea of what it might be like that way. Hope this helps.

    Weird....i dont have one bit of trouble from mine, it performs for its price...Turns off suddenly ? hmmm, could be CPU, Prog clashing etc. ill say all fixable...but ill recomend it for....my uncle got hes Toshiba for 4 years now and still going strong...thats probably why i bough one... ;)

    ive had a long history with toshiba laptops. my first one was a satellite A70...with NO problems whatsoever even though there were alot of people who did have problems apparently...

    my second was an M70, again with no problems
    third was an M60, which was a beast of a machine agian with no problems

    my current one is the a100, and with no problems.

    build quality on all models was not the best, but my current a100 i have carrying around with me in my bag for a week now, constantly moving etc. it is still like the day i got. i think any laptop will hold up as long as you dont abuse it.
