My laptops front usb ports don't work, meaning they don't supply any power to any usb device, its not that its the usb device not recognized error but instead just nothing happens, they are DEAD!

I remember before what happened was i think i plugged in a shorted usb device which made my computer reboot, after which i tested to see and the usb ports still worked. But the next day i checked again and they were dead!

Is there any way to fix it without opening the laptop?
    (tried bios update)

Is there any documentation on how to open up the this Toshiba Satellite A100-JH2 model?

Also is it possible replacing the usb board will fix it, or is there a fuse on it that i can fix or will disconnecting and reconnecting its cable fix it?
