    Hello all,

I have an old Toshiba Satellite A105-S4064 running Kubuntu 12.10. Everything works well except the battery life is literally about 5-10 minutes. I have a few questions relating to that.

1.) Are there any good, reputable places to buy a replacement battery? Ideally I don't to spend much as the laptop is old and my secondary computer, so being near a wall outlet is annoying but nothing I want to spend a lot to fix.

2.) Is there anything I can do to improve the battery life of the existing battery, aside from the obvious dim screen, slower HD, etc...? Like letting it run down and recharging it, those kind of things?

3.) Relating to the AC adapter - I don't have it here with me so I can't look at the specs - but what specs are important when looking for a compatible adapter? I have another laptop with 2 adapters (again, not in front of me so I can't read the specs) but I don't want to damage the Toshiba in any way. What makes an AC adapter "compatible" with other laptops?
