This is my brothers laptop, he was using it last night, and he said the mouse just got stuck. so he closed the lid and went to sleep. So today i looked at it and it stops at the Toshiba boot screen. So i thought the chip burnt out, i took it apart and replaced it with a t2300, samething happens. If any of you know whats wrong please help me! thanx in advance!

I think something might have been shorted... I'm not sure if it will help, my Desktop used to be like that, but when I took out the USB controller on the front (front bay USB ports) it was fine.. Try to disassemble everything including DVD+RW, not really disassemble... take out dvd, usb accessories, etc.
