Hey, Im Getting a new laptop and im set on a Toshiba. I recently saw a flyer for the new satellite A200. It looks really nice, its got the Core 2 duo T5300, 1 gb ram, 160 gb hard drive, etc. It is pretty much the same as the older model but has a different apperal to it. the price is reletivly unchanged at $999 (i live in Canada). I was wondering if this was a good deal and if there was a different Toshiba laptop that would be better for around the same price. Heres a link for the full specs: http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10087494&catid=20354&PCName=laptop%5Ftoshiba&logon=&langid=EN&test%5Fcookie=1

    Any Help is Great!

Do the FAQ. That would help people decide which laptop/Toshiba laptop is "better for around the same price" for you.

I think that its a pretty good deal, if you would rather have a hp, its all the same specs but its at futureshop.ca. I have a A100(C2D T5200 1.6ghz, 1 gig, 120gig, GMA 950, 15.4") which i bought right after vista(end of January) was realeased so the Futureshop's and Bestbuy's in Canada were clearing out all of their computers so i got mine for $999, $200 off regular price plus a $100 gift card to use on a later date, so like i paid $1050 with tax for my laptop which is almost identical to the one you want to buy.

I would recommend that you wait till the Santa Rosa platform laptops roll out on the shelves in Canada and then look for a deal, like what I did for Vista. But if you can't wait, it is still a pretty good deal.
