You can get it in-store pretty much anywhere, like Best Buy or Futureshop, Staples, pretty sure you can get them there.

Just read up on a couple of different reviews. The build quality seems solid (no screen flex, very mild palm rest flex) and the processor should have no problems. The screen appears to be above average in terms of color and contrast, and the speakers are good. The only thing there isn't much info on is the Mobility Radeon HD 2600. It's listed as performance class 2 on Notebookcheck.com which states: "The newest games should run with all details fluently."

A model that had integrated graphics was able to run for about an hour and a half on max brightness while playing a dvd, however this model has a dedicated graphics card that has a hardware HD and SD decoder so I figure it would be more efficient. The Mobility Radeon HD2600 is also supposed to be more efficient in general due to its 65nm core, which should help out with battery life a bit as well.

The only thing I don't like is that it looks like Toshiba doesn't provide XP drivers for their Vista laptops so if I want XP I'll have to lose some functionality.

I'll probably pick this up in the next day or two and see how it goes.

Edit: Just checked it out and all the drivers for XP are available on the toshiba.ca website.

    I have one got you.

Futureshop has it for 1599 until thursday. They also have a "WE'll beat any price by 10%" policy. Best buy has it for 1699 at normal price (1799 for FS).

You can find it arround 1600 on internet (canada)

it was a good deal, i took advantage of it and love this laptop, just dont get fs set it up for you or get one of their bundles (usually very expensive) - i found out the hard way.

though it is nice having recovery discs made for me, since i can't figurout how to get into the service partition.
