I have the Toshiba Satellite A205-S4577 (i know this by heart now), and I am looking for a bluetooth module. I hate usb dongles and currently there are no ExpressCard Bluetooth adapters. I want to buy the module and install it myself.

Unless someone has found a Bluetooth ExpressCard (Not PCMCIA) I really don't care to hear about any great usb bluetooth dongles because they are not portable friendly.

    Thanks!!

    Any luck?

Some laptops have internal USB ports used for the bluetooth USB adapter, but I haven't had any luck finding one (I've gotten lucky before, found 'em under hard drives) -- I'm not really even sure how to remove the keyboard which is the other most likely hiding space.

ExpressCard would be nice, but alas, no luck there yet.

Hi, did anyone ever find a sollution to this - the part, and/or how to install one?

I had found a link a while back that had instructions, as well as a link to where to buy one at the best price that I had seen. Well, it seems that forum where it was posted seems to be totally gone now??

The link might have been this one (but I can't remember - it came up in Google, but I couldn't get the page to load):

Regardless, I would also like to install internal bluetooth in my laptop. It's a Toshiba U205-S5057. I'm seriously considering installing a Wireless N adapter in place of the ABG adapter, and would like to possibly install bluetooth at the same time, as I'll be pulling the whole thing apart anyway, as I'm replacing a couple of things on mine.

What is the difference between the Bluetooth Module part you show above and the one that is on the Toshiba U200 thread? U200 BT Module is cheaper.

You need these parts from SparePartsWarehouse.com:
    $5.00 P000421420 Screw
$33.85 P000433310 Bluetooth Module (2.0+EDR) - you'll need to flip the plastic tab on the cable connector to make it work. (the picture is wrong on their website)
    $5.00 P000435350 Cable - $5
    $5.00 P000435360 Bluetooth Label
