    Hello,

I have had this laptop for 3 years. I have Vista Home Premium 32bit. Every time I turn on the computer and load windows, I cannot log in to my user profile. The message I get is:

The User Profile Service service failed the logon.
    User Profile cannot be loaded.

I have tried to reinstall windows but the computer crashes and shuts off in the beginning of installation.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does the computer shut down everytime you try doing an install? Your computer may be overheating have you cleaned the heatsink/fan out? Check to see if you can feel the air blowing out of the vents.

    Hello,

Thank you for the response. Yes, the computer has been turning off every time. I have cleaned it out before and did so again yesterday (even though there was very little dust). I have been trying again this morning and I got it to run through the installation.

I think it may be the overheating. Is there a way to monitor this on windows?
