I have a Toshiba Satellite A30 laptop computer. The OS was so badly corrupted and messed up, I re-formatted the computer.
When the computer finished re-installing windows, I was able to get all the devices back except for the on-board Wireless adapter. I downloaded the drivers for it, but the computer is not seeing the computer. I tried to contact Toshiba, but they wouldn't help me without paying money. I don't know what else I can do it get the wireless back up and running. It is running Windows XP Pro.
I would appreciate any kind of ideas, that anyone may have.
Thank-you

Shut down and remove the card.
Restart and Un install the wireless card driver.
Restart the machine twice.
Re start and re install the driver.
Shut sown.
Install the card.
In that exact order
She should find the card on the restart.
If that doesn't work sell it to me and I'll strip it like my first wife.

The wireless adapter is on-board. Built into the computer. It is not a pcmcia card. I would have to open up the laptop to try and remove. I cannot remove the wireless network card. Not sure that the instruction you gave me will work or not. Any other ideas.
