    hi everyone,

It was all good until few days with my A505-S6965.

    Here are my problem:

The problem with my laptop is it gets shut down on its own and this is totally random, along with this random shut downs, I have also seen another problem where I randomly get denial of service when using my wireless connection and this problem too is random, I formatted my OS and reinstalled windows 7 till now I did not get any denial of service message but my laptop did got shut down once and this was like 2 hours after I re installed new OS. I am unable to understand the problem.

I still have the warranty but I will have to send the laptop for days for the technicians to find out and fix the problem, can anyone suggest any suitable solution or sending in the laptop to the customer service is the only option.

By the way I never keep my laptop in direct contact to any surface that will block the airflow in and out and still I am encountering this problem.

other forums where people have discussed about this problem are

    2. http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/t5/...andomly-shutting-down-after-upgrade/m-p/84909

but no one suggested a possible solution to this, can any one help me out please thank you.

EDIT: I did not get any denial of service but I get message limited connectivity to a good connection, as other friends of mine who are right next to me get good connection from the same router and able to use internet, my laptop does not get internet connection. I even updated my wifi drivers.

    Hi,

I have taken picture, and I have used two different softwares for reading the temperatures and I get different readings from the two softwares.

I have never used my laptop on a uneven surface or a surface which will attract dust, but still I will try to open up the laptop and clean any dust inside.

just got off from phone with one of toshiba representative and updated my bios from 1.4 to 1.8, and also installed the latest drivers for wireless even though this should not be needed as windows 7 takes care of it automatically but still downloaded: Intel Wireless LAN Driver for Windows Vista / 7 (64bit)(v12.4.0.21.1; 05-15-2009; 5.38M) software but no change i still get limited connectivity message, where as my friends use the same router with out any problem.

BIOS update solved the problem of automatic shutdown and as far as the Wifi, now I do not get denial of service but some times get limited connectivity, will try to install latest drivers and check it

    Yep your temptratures are fine.
Now, about the strange stability. This can happend, sometimes my Thinkpad does not connect to my router while my Qosmio does. And the other way around, I don't know why this is happending. But a simple on and off WIFI solves the issue for me. I have not looked into this closly tou...
