I've searched high and low for the past few days and cannot find it any where.
Toshibas bios section does not list it for download and google has come up empty as well.
Is it a generic Bios? is there another resource to download this bios or a more current one for my laptop?
I've wiped the hdd and deleted all partitions so I dont know if there was a bios backup on the driver partiton or not.
i never thought to look because i assumed Toshiba would have it as a download under this laptop model.

Why do you want to update your BIOS?
I mean with the BIOS; if it isn't broken then don't fix it.

I think you meant if it ISN'T broken then don't futz with it.

To the OP, what makes you think that there is a bios ver. 1.10 for that model? What is it supposed to change or fix? Just because you wiped the drive doesn't mean that you need to update the bios.

Well, considering I picked up a 505 this past week and the current bios on it is an Insyde 1.20 , I would assume 1.10 came before that... as for where to find it now you got me, Toshiba doesn't list it for my model on their support site either.

    yes I meant ISN'T :D

Well there mignt be a 1.10 but that is not necessary. I mean they could have developped v1.0 to v1.19 but never released them as they were beta versions. Or they could have used Bios v1.10 from another laptop and made the necessary changes to make it compatible with the satellite 505. Or the 1.1v is the generic Inside bios (i.e. as sold by Inside to Toshiba), and the v1.20 is the one amended specificaly for your laptop. Or there are versions 1.0 to 1.19 but with the release of the 1.2 Toshiba removed them from its website.

Sorry to insist but way do you want do downgrade? I mean it doesn't make sense!

    just wondering:
    Satellite A505 (US) =? Satellite A500 (europe) ... maybe?

I checked here. There is no 1.1v because or any other version for that matter because the v1.2 seems to be the first released version.

Funny thing though even the v1.2 is not in their website

I don't want to downgrade, did you realize yet I'm not the OP? I have a 6033 but the same model, A505, which was why I said there's gotta be a 1.1 because mine came with 1.2. OP posted he has a 6035, if hes asking for 1.10 it just might have been the one that came on his

Sorry Magimagus. I'm not wearing my reading glass today :D. Anyways I checked Toshiba's websites (US and Europe). The A505 is not listed in the European website. In the US website no Bios file can be downloaded for the Satellite A505-S6035. There is none in the list of the download
