    Hello,

I am looking at buying a Toshiba Satellite A80-S178TD but I cannot find any reviews online for the thing yet must be pretty new. I am curious if anyone here on the forum owns one or knows someone who does and can offer any information on the thing. Better pictures then toshiba offers are a plus.

    TIA,
    Scott

Much prefer the Mobile Sempron CPU for a budget notebook. Celerons cannot lower the clock speed of the CPU to save battery life which Semprons can do. If you are looking for a good deal, check the deals section on the front page. You should fill out the FAQ in the hardware section so we can help more. Good Luck.

I dont have a grand to spend and the specs on it look pretty good I currently have a celeron D dell laptop. And from the Intel data sheets it appears the mobile celeron based on 90nm dothan can lower clock speed. I dont want something used or from some auction site I will only buy brand new from a non auction site.

To my knowledge, Celeron Ms do not support SpeedStep which is Intel's version of downclocking.
