Hi, I'm Andy and I made CPU upgrade for my friend Toshiba Satellite L450D-10Z laptop from Sempron [email protected] single-core to Athlon 64 X2 [email protected] dual-core. The motherboard BIOS version is 1.3 and recognized the the Athlon 64 X2 QL-65. The Sempron CPU was working at full load when I watched youtube videos at 360p resolution the laptop was working very slow even the web browsing was werry slow, my friend wanted to throwaway. Now when I'm watching the same videos at 360p the Athlon X2 CPU is loaded at 40-60%. The laptop fan is working more now, the temperature is incresed at full load with 18°C. When I watch youtube videos it goes about 75-80°C and it is a little noisyer. Probably my friend will buy a laptop cooler and the temperature I hope will drop about 3-5°C. I made some pictures and youtube video with the important steps for CPU upgrade and some benchmarks before and update. I'm happy with the upgrade, the laptop can be used again for some time. I think now will work with Windows 7 Starter to, before the upgrade with Windows 7 Starter the laptop was unusable, it took a very long time to boot, about 3-4 minutes to load all the programs and the web browsing was a pain in the a@@, the CPU was 100% at full time. Sorry not ntrue, when I lisned the online radio the CPU was at 40-50% load :). The upgrade total cost is about 15$ and my labor work. I hope it is a helpfull imformation for someone.
