    Hey guys,

So, I recently purchased a toshiba laptop, satellite L675-S7018. It's great overall, except for the camera issue.

Here is the thing. When I started using it for skype, the picture/video during a video chat would just freeze up constantly. At the same time, if I just start the Camera Assistant and turn the camera on, everything worked perfect - no freezes.

Surely, I decided to "fix" the skype freeze thing... And now, neither skype nor even the camera assistant would show ANY picture/video. The blue camera light is on, but the picture is not there - just a back screen.

I tried reinstalling the drivers and the camera assistant software. Nothing. It gives me picture/video 1 out of 50 times...

Does anyone know how to fix the whole thing? Respond, please, I am honestly going crazy with this laptop.

    Greg

    P.S. The OS is Win7

did you try drivers off the toshiba site. i would always look @ your drivers and try to find others. use another site like OOVOO to chat w friends and see how that works out. also could always try changing your settings

if you updated your drivers for the camera after skype was already installed then i figure that you will have to uninstall and reinstall skype again as when you are using skype it is lookin for the camera based on the old drivers, but it cant find the camera? Thats just a guess though, i had a similar issue where i installed a game and then i updated my graphic drivers, then the game would not work until i uninstalled and reinstalled, worth a try, hopefully someone can answer more helpfully then me though
