Hi,
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094. I can connect to my Linksys BEFW11S4 router fine if no WEP or WPA security is used. I have it set in a battery saver mode, and when I wake it up it's still fine in unsecured mode. However i don't want to use an unsecured router, and whenever I wake the laptop up in battery saver mode using WEP or WPA, I can't reconnect, even by putting the password in. It says "Acquiring network address" and seems connected for a second, then next instant the connection is gone. Even ConfigFree doesn't help. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Does it work if you try repairing the connection? (ie disabling the wifi and re-enabling it) I also have a S3094 and have had no WEP/WPA wifi connection issues after waking it up from sleep mode.
I have removed Toshiba's software though. I have uninstalled Configfree as well as Toshiba's power-saving program and use windows to configure my wireless settings. -
I tried "repair connection" several times, and it doesn't correct the problem. Should I manually disable wifi before clicking "reapir connection" (as I haven't so far), or does the application do this for you? That ConfigFree does seem redundant and seems to mimic selecting your network from the icon in the taskbar, though it looks cool. Is that just a different way of doing the same thing? Is there a link to info on having Windows configure settings, or is that what I'm already doing from the taskbar/systray where it says networks are available (but not connected)? I assume I could always re-install the Toshiba software from the recovery disk if needed again later? Thanks.

You should not have to manually disconnect - the application should do it for you. Configfree is pretty redundant imo and though it looks nice, I personally would rather use windows to configure my wifi settings. If you'd like to reinstall Configfree, you can find it on Toshiba's support site.

I might just get a new router, someone else told me the BEFW11S4 is a crappy router full of bugs, plus it's only B technology. If the new one don't work, then back to square one.

Problems seem solved. I went to Best Buy and got a Netgear WGT624 router yesterday, what a difference! No problems at all hooking it up. Right now I just tried WPA only so far, actually WPA-PSK [TKIP], (not WPA 2 or WPA + WEP that's offered on the router settings yet), and my laptop automatically reconnects after waking it out of Standby mode now. Or after it hibernates, says "resuming Windows", and in both cases, Standy or Hibernate (I assume that's what that one is), I'm reconnected in 10 to 15 seconds. I assume it's normal to re-connect? I noticed in the router's Attached Devices, my laptop will dissappear from the listing after a few minutes in Standby? I assume that's a security measure, and I assume that's why it takes 15 seconds to reconnect automatically once out of standby?
Also, I found out you have to press the left mouse button after a Standby, and it connects automatically, so that works too. So this is starting to look like a great little laptop. My sister liked mine so much, she just went out and bought one yesterday.
