Today I brought my laptop with me to show someone some photos on it, and it's been acting up since that. I put it on hibernate for the drive over there (30 minutes), but it drained its battery anyway during that timeframe. I plugged it in when I was there and it worked fine, except when I accidentally unplugged it while moving it, which caused it to immediately shut down. I plugged it in again and it seemed to work fine after that. It completely drained its battery again on the way home, so I plugged it in as soon as I could.
After maybe a minute or two of charging, I tried turning it on, and the power button lit up blue like it normally does. After a few seconds, however, it shut down, and now it won't come back on at all. It's been charging for over an hour now, and still no signs of life except the little LEDs on the front of the machine. The AC LED is blue, which I assume means the computer knows it is plugged in and charging, but the battery LED is orange, which I guess means the battery is dead.
I'm really worried about it not being able to start up again and having to spend money getting it repaired when my new laptop is due to arrive in early September. Do you think my laptop just needs to charge some more? Why can't it power up while it's charging, like it normally does? Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Well, I got it to turn on again by plugging it into a different outlet. The first outlet wasn't broken though, because it's the same one I always plug it in to and it did turn on for a few seconds after I got it home. It appears to be working fine now, but the battery has been stuck at 9% since I turned the computer on 20 minutes ago... Shoudn't it be increasing because the computer is plugged in?

Over an hour later I'm still looking at this:
Normally when it's fully-charged it will say 102%...
Toshiba Satellite M45 won't start up...
