    Hello,
What you guys think will be best to go with when it comes to the screen of this Satellite M60? Looking for that crisp coated/glossy screen.

    17" Diagonal Widescreen SXGA+ w/TruBrite?Technology (1680x1050)

    or

    17" Diagonal Widescreen XGA w/TruBrite™Technology (1440x900)

    Thanks.

Well, it really depends on your personal preference. If you can stand smaller text but need more real estate then the first one is a good choice. The second option offers larger text but slightly smaller screen area. If it were me I would pick the SXGA since I love more real estate and can see the smaller text. But as I said its about personal preference, try to check the screens out in a retail store if you can, might help in your decision.

Both the optons offer Trubrite which I believe is Toshiba's marketing term for the glossy screens.

I agree. My laptop has extremely small text (UXGA); the next step up is SXGA, which has smaller text, and WXGA, which has normal text. If you are currently using a WXGA screen I would reccomend getting another WXGA screen unless you go check out both screen resolutions and decide which one you want. TruBrite IMO is the best type of glossy screen avalible, even better than Fujistu's glossy screens.

I have the second screen on my M60 and I love it. It is nice and crisp, and not too small, but there is still a lot to work with. I really don't think you will gain a whole lot by spending the extra $50 and getting the 1680 X 1050, but that is just me. I used to have a regular screen in my old 5005 Satellite, and this is just miles ahead of that old thing. Save the $50 and use it for a bigger hard drive, or a different upgrade.

Actually I have; I compared my friend's M60 head on with the N6210, and IMO, the Toshiba had the brighter, crisper screen. Don't get me wrong, the Fujistu had a great screen, but the M60 looked better to me.
