Okay, my friend is using a toshiba satellite p10, from what i can gather it has a P4 processor, so I'm thinking possible overheating.

As he explains it, his laptop literally just dies every so often, especially when he's running sonic stage software for music conversion.

i told him to install HNC but the temps for CPU arent given, only HD (which is running at 42C) so there's noway of knowing if it's the CPU that's overheating.

Anyway, any one know any problems with these just..turning off?

"and eery time u restart it it will die again sometimes will load windows sometimes wont jus will die when presumably the temp gets too high

so i leave it for like 15mins on bios with fans blasting or leave for longer jus sitting

    then eventually works again"
